Hi, I'm Laura Harris

 I established Hatha Wellness Yoga to help you bring wellness into your life.  I want you to feel strong, confident, and peaceful, on and off the yoga mat.

 I’ve been teaching, coaching, and facilitating wellness as a professional for over 25 years.  Now I share yoga as a tool to help people optimize their wellbeing.

Taking care of my body through movement is a lifelong value and I live a very physically active lifestyle. Through regular yoga practice, I experience benefits to my body: weight control, better muscle tone, and improved flexibility. At more subtle levels, yoga offers me the experience of balance between doing and being, activity and stillness,  creating a peaceful inner space.

As a seasoned instructor and an older adult, I understand  your need to have more than just a workout - it's also important to enjoy the experience, have fun and laugh, meet like-minded people, and be completely confident  your teacher is experienced, certified, and competent.

Hatha Wellness Yoga specializes in yoga for beginners.  You may be new to yoga, or ready to try it again after a long break. Perhaps you are looking for a smaller sized class to get the individualized attention you need  to be safe and comfortable in a yoga class. You might be someone who enjoys being in a class where you know everyone's name and feel a sense of community.  Maybe you want to be able to walk or bike to your yoga class through a lovely neighbourhood. You could be looking for a teacher with the training and skill to modify a yoga practice to your particular needs.
